On Saturday 29th March 2008, the first Edinburgh Shell Show will take place from 9.00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is free. Bring a friend. This is an opportunity to meet other members in the region and to seek advice from experienced collectors.

A talk by S. Peter Dance entitled “My Journey Through the Shell World” will take place from 14.30 – 15.30. We are thrilled that such an eminent and respected conchologist has agreed to give us an insight into his life of shells. Please come along! |

The show is non-competitive and we would welcome all exhibits on any shell related theme. Donations for the raffle would also be very welcome. A number of dealers will be present at the show. If you wish to book a table, please contact Brian Hammond. For those wishing to stay for the weekend, a shelling trip to 2 locations (1 marine, 1 non-marine) has been organised for the Sunday, to be led by Dr Adrian T. Sumner.
