Although the Shell Club Convention is usually held on the last Saturday of April, for 2009 only it will take be on the first Saturday of May, that is, Saturday 2 May 2009 from 9.00am to 5:00pm. Activities will include members' exhibits, members' exchange tables, dealers' tables and an auction. An increasing number of foreign dealers now attend this event.

Access by car
Theydon Bois is on the edge of Epping Forest between Loughton and Epping in Essex. It is close to the M25 Junction 26 (Waltham Abbey), and Junctions 5 (Loughton, northbound exit only) and 7 (Harlow/Epping) of the M11. The village Hall is opposite the Village Green.
Whichever direction you are approaching from, unless you are driving out of central London the best starting point to drive to the Hall is Junction 26 of the M25.
From there take the A121 signposted to Epping and Loughton.
After around 2 miles you reach a roundabout. Take the 2nd exit sign posted B172 Theydon Bois.
After another 2 miles or so you will pass the ‘Sixteen String Jack’ pub on the left (named after the highwayman Jack Rann who was hanged at the age of 24 in 1774) and enter Theydon Bois itself.
Soon the road passes through a crossroads and very soon after that the Village Hall entrance is on the left, indicated by a sign on the right side of the road.
